Your generous, tax-deductible gift this season will help us build safe, independent homes - places where people can belong, thrive, and live life on their own terms. Together, let's make independence the greatest gift of all and empower lives one roof at a time.
Be the first to give this Christmas.
Our homes offer more than just a place to live—they provide opportunities for residents to experience the security and pride of homeownership, build confidence and friendships, and actively participate in the broader community.
Since its inception in 2014, Project Independence has continued to create opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to achieve homeownership and live fulfilling, independent lives, with new developments underway to meet growing demand.
This Christmas, instead of material gifts, give your loved ones something that changes lives - the gift of independence. By donating to Project Independence in their name, you'll help create safe, supportive homes for people with intellectual disabilties.
Once you've made your donation, simply fill out our short form with your gift recipient's details. We'll send them a special Chistmas e-card, lovingly written by one of our PI residentsts, to wish them a Merry Christmas on your behalf.
This Christmas, your gift can help create the warmth, security and belonging that comes with having a place to call home. Every donation brings us closer to making home ownership possible for people with intellectual disability.
Become a regular donor to continue making an impact long after this giving season ends. By giving regularly, you provide reliable support that helps sustain independence all year round. Your ongoing generosity creates lasting impact, helping people build stable, connected lives in a place they can call home.
Sign up today to be a regular donor for Project Independence.
A gift in your Will is a powerful way to leave a legacy of independence, dignity and belonging. By including Project Independence in your plans, you can help future generations achieve the security and opportunity that comes with having a home of their own.

It has been a turning point for me. My confidence and sense of wellbeing have increased with the supportive environment and strong friendships made at PI. The opportunity of building equity in the property, towards home ownerships provides me a sense of security for the future.

We currently have 30 residents, across 3 properties in the ACT. With over 50 people with an intellectual disability still on our waiting list in Canberra, the need is still evident. We will continue to work to build more housing for people with an intellectual disability and look to support other minority groups in the near future.
Yes, absolutely! Aside from monetary donations, there are several ways to get involved: you can fundraise, attend one of our events, become a corporate sponsor, or volunteer.
